5 reasons why Fluconazole can be lousy for certain women

The best cure of any kind of yeast or fungal infection is an anti-fungal drug. Fluconazole, an azole anti-fungal, which works best with yeast infections in any part of the body – mouth, esophagus, throat, bladder, lungs, genital area and the blood. A safer drug with minimal side effects, Fluconazole combats with even acute fungal conditions like vaginal candidiasis. It kills by interfering with the fungus membrane, jeopardizing its growth and multiplication. However, all is not pink with Fluconazole and many women face lousy problems with the drug. Vaginal candidiasis can reappear again if you are not careful. Here are a few reasons why this can happen:

1. Fungus reappears with direct contact: This happens often in the case of vaginal candidiasis. If you are infected with candidiasis in your vaginal region, it is better for you to not engage in oral or anal or any kind of sexual activity till your infection is cured. This is because, you can spread the infection to your spouse or partner and you can get infected by it (even if you are cured) when you have sex with the same person.

2. Body’s natural defenses hit low: No antibiotic is equal to the power of your immune system. If your body’s natural defenses are low after the treatment, the fungus can reappear and infect you again. You maybe completely cured from your previous treatment, but that does not mean that your immune system has become strong enough to fight the yeast by itself. So, when your immune system hits low, you have chances of the fungus reappearing again.

3. Destruction of friendly bacteria: Drugs like Fluconazole can sometimes destroy the friendly bacteria in your intestine, leading to revival of yeast infections. The friendly bacteria, along with the immune system, protects the body from fungus. So when Fluconazole destroys such bacteria, remember, the ghost of your infections may reappear.

4. Resistance to Fluconazole: When the yeast infection returns, it attacks your body with added vigor and potent. When you take the drug for a long time, the fungus may develop resistance to Fluconazole’s effects. This can lead to worsened conditions as you may have to increase your dosage or change your medications in order to fight the fungus.

5. Reliance on anti-fungal medications: Sometimes the body becomes reliant on the anti-fungal medications you take. If such a thing happens, it fails to resist infection in the absence of medications. This can cause the fungus to mutate into a stronger strain which can be treated only with stronger drugs.

Another common reason why Fluconazole fails to work is improper dosage. Many women, who suspect an yeast infection, buy illegal medication from online drugstores. Some infections may need not more than one dosage, whereas as others may need about a week’s treatment. Women who do not seek medical advice from a doctor end up taking too much or too little of the drug, which in turn causes severe side effects without even curing the infection.

PLEASE NOTE : OnlinePharmacyForum.Com recommends personal consultation with a doctor. The dangers in buying medications online include the online drugstore selling counterfeit, expired or contaminated medications to you. Sometimes the drugs that you receive may have been prepared by unethical means or using unusual substances. This is why you should buy drugs from a licensed and FDA-approved pharmacy; after consulting with a doctor and getting a valid prescription.
